On 9 and 10 July the International Street Artists Festival will arrive for the first time in Farra d'Isonzo, a unique event of its kind that will transform the town center into a large party area with stages natural areas, refreshment areas with food and wine stands, an artisan design market, live music and a children's face painting area for the little ones. All under the masterful care of the Compagnia del Carro di Staranzano.
A great event that offers an opportunity for healthy fun in the open air to spend a different weekend with friends and discover an area close to Gorizia which, for some, is still little known.
Professionals from all over the world will perform in various areas of the center of Farra, closed to traffic for the occasion: puppeteers, acrobats, jugglers, fire eaters and musicians. The event is open to the public free of charge and each artist will do their best to fill their "hat".
Between one show and another, participants will be able to stroll among the stands of the market organized by the Noi dell’Arte association, where designers from all over Friuli-Venezia Giulia will present their handcrafted creations.
Finally, the event will be enriched by a varied food area where, in addition to the kiosks of sweets, street food and fresh fruit, it will be possible to taste the delicacies prepared by two of the main restaurants in Farra d'isonzo which for the occasion will join in one big stand.
This event, scheduled for 9 and 10 July from 17 to 23, is part of the territorial enhancement project "Strade & Incanti" conceived by the Lacus Timavi association together with the project manager Michela Lautieri and strongly supported by the Municipality of Farra d'Isonzo .
Given the multisectoral nature of the "Strade & Incanti" project, it was immediately thought that the theme of the traveling theater was essential in wanting to give Farra a dreamlike and joyful setting, proposing a Festival that would embellish the center of the ancient village with some days of celebration.
Among the special guests, to cheer the two days, there will be the Paggio dei Clerici Vagantes (traveling with his Page since 1214), the Mirabella family (host of various famous television programs), the acrobats Nik and Frank (better known as the Duo Flosh), the Quetzalcoatls (in one of the first European stages with their fire ritual), the company La Fabiola and Gli Amici del Quaiat with their art of making up children).
